The OIPDB has made remarkable achievements over the past five years through the successful implementation of irrigation development projects.

Over the past five years (2014–2018 E.C.), the Oromia Irrigation and Pastoral Development Bureau has successfully completed 512 irrigation projects, developed 53,954.62 hectares of irrigated land, and improved the livelihoods of 202,404 beneficiary households. These achievements have significantly enhanced agricultural productivity, strengthened food security, created employment opportunities, and contributed to the sustainable development of Oromia.
