August 16, 2025 – Oromia Irrigation and Pastoralist Development Bureau (OIPDB)
At this launching event, the Office Head of OIPDB, Mr. Katama Urga, in his opening speech, stated that:
“The community voicing its complaints or satisfaction helps to strengthen the transparency of the project, ensures quick solutions to challenges if they arise, and allows us to understand the level of community satisfaction.”
He emphasized that this is useful in learning about the community’s sense of accountability regarding the LLRP-supported interventions.
The LLRP Program Manager for Oromia, Mr. Gurmesa Lelisa, explained that the major works being carried out under LLRP focus on rehabilitating and addressing drought-related challenges in pastoralist areas of Oromia. To further increase the benefits of these efforts for the community, they now have the opportunity to submit their complaints and satisfaction in writing (SMS) or by voice message through the number 6867.
